Doris & The Weirdos

It might seem the name of a rock band, but this is the story of a traditional boat type called "Doris" used by the French community in the outermost island of Saint Pierre et Miquelon (next to Canada) to fish cod. Now, no longer in use, due to depleted cod quotas a group of roup of older French men ("The Weirdos") are trying to restore old boats, to keep the French tradition alive.
The story appeared in Euronews in 2018. I visited the island on July 14 (Bastille Day) that was also the football's World Cup finale between France and Croatia, hence French vibes were even more vibrant.
